Terms and Conditions
All services provided by A Beautiful Photo are subject to the 2019 NZIPP & AIPA Standard Terms and Conditions of Engagement - the full document is available here. If long legal documents aren’t your cup of tea, I’ve summarised it below:
Booking fee
Booking fees are non refundable. Once your booking fee has been paid you have secured the current pricing.
When booking your photoshoot we book a specific time for you and turn away other potential clients on that day. We also dedicate time preparing for your shoot, book the makeup artist, and begin preparing the studio for your shoot. For this reason in the event that you need to cancel your shoot your booking fee will not be refunded.
Should you need to change your booking date please give us more than 48 hours notice.
In the event of cancellation by us, for any reason, your session fee will be fully refunded.
Your order
INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE IN WRITING.
The Client must ensure that all their instructions and expectations (or variations of such) regarding the Booking or Order are agreed in writing and signed.
Orders are to be paid in full at the time of ordering. If you would like to amend your order, please let us know within 72 hours. After that, work will have commenced on your order and no refunds will be given.
Payment and product delivery
Payment for your order is expected at the end of your viewing appointment. Payments made at this time receive a 5% discount. Payment options include, cash, eftpos, visa, and payment plan with third party (30% deposit 6 month payment term. $15 admin fee and 6% transaction fee). Production will start only when all payments due have been paid in full. Unpaid accounts will incur late payment fees and collection costs. I will contact you when your prints and products are ready (please allow up to six weeks). Clients are responsible for any delivery charges.
Price increases
Prices may increase without notice. When booking, your prices are secured with the booking fee and no increases will be applied.
Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash and must be used within 24 months of issue. They can not be used in conjunction with other offers.
Albums
Album design is a collaborative process. I’ll design it how I think it looks best and send it through to you for your adjustments and approval. Nothing is printed without your go ahead.
Sharing your photos
Being photographed is a vulnerable thing to do and we appreciate your permission to let us use your images. We won’t share any of your photos without written permission. We know no one likes surprises, so once permission is granted we will endeavour to advise you when we’ll be sharing your work on our socials, in advertising, and on the blog.
Use of images
We essentially own and retain full copyright of all the images we photograph. A Beautiful Photo (ABP) and the client agree to override section 21(3) of the Copyright Act 1994. ABP will retain copyright ownership of all images but grant the client a non-exclusive license for personal use of the images you have purchased. This licence comes into effect from the date of full payment for your order. You are more than welcome to share the photographs (including the digital files) and make your own prints, but you may not edit the images or sell them for financial gain (i.e. as stock photography).
Privacy
PRIVACY and PERSONAL INFORMATION
The Photographer shall abide by the Privacy Act 1993 and shall take all practical steps to achieve privacy protection.
